Main Investment Components
Discover the main components of the Sleeping Warrior Special Economic Zone (SEZ). This section highlights the diverse facilities, including modern accommodations, a thriving agri-park, and state-of-the-art logistics hubs. Each element is designed to foster innovation and sustainability, creating a vibrant community for both businesses and residents.

Logistics Hub & Industrial Manufacturing Zone
Located strategically close to significant transport routes on the Northern Corridor, the hub is designed to streamline logistics processes and encourage business to establish warehouses and distribution nodes within the SEZ. The hub will have as its epicenter a central railway station with two sidings each of 400-600m for loading/off-loading cargo onto and from railway wagons, customs bonded warehouses and a small passenger terminus. Once the first phase of the geothermal project is completed in 2026, the SEZ will offer power to the park at USD 8 cts per kWh

Sleeping Warrior Camp
The first phase of a world class hospitality facility is now complete and open to visitors. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Lake Elementaita, the Lodge can currently accommodate up to 35 visitors from luxury hillside cabins on the Sleeping Warrior Caldera, luxury permanent tents and standard ensuite tents. The next phase will feature a Camp Moran Caldera resort inspired by the Amandari of Aman resorts

Silk Origin Agri-Park
A sister company Silk Origin Limited has established a 200-acre Mulberry plantation which it uses to feed silkworms that are currently being reared for the production and export of raw silk and other derivatives. Silk Origin also has a 500 square meter silkworm rearing facility and a lab that encompasses, breeding and cutting-edge research on silk derivatives use in bio technology. The next phase of the Agri-park measuring 70 acres aims to cater for the food requirements of those who will reside inside the SEZ, the Camp Moran Lodge and Caldera Resort and will offer the surplus produce for sale in a bid to drive agricultural self-sufficiency and additional revenue

Housing Development
Drawing parallels with Tatu City and in light of legal amendments that allow housing developments outside the customs designated zone, the SEZ’s housing project will span 50 acres incorporating a mix of villas, apartments and some low-cost housing units. Mumbi Limited has already bequeathed the National Police Service with 5 acres of land for the setting up of a Police Station to serve the SEZ and the neighbouring local community

Air Strip
Modelled after the Nanyuki Airstrip, the 50-acre air strip is planned to bolster the SEZ’s connectivity, promoting the ease of transport for tourists and businesses alike to the various facilities on site e.g., the Camp Moran Lodge. The facility will also feature a maintenance hangar, flight training school, restaurants and adequate aircraft parking.

Science and Technology Park
The Lake Elementaita Science and Technology Park will be an epicenter for innovation, research and development. There is a proposition to set up a dedicated data analytics and mining hub to take advantage of the abundance of cheap renewable energy that will come from the geothermal development. The University of Nairobi in conjunction with Kaira Clan of Finland-a premier IOT use cas-developer and 5G network provider- and Fasta, have committed to set up an innovation lab where all innovators get a super platform to innovate under the training of the university. Ensuing unicorns will have their intellectual property registered and linkages established with both global off takers for licensing and marketing etc.

Moran Miners
Our land at Mumbi has over 800 acres of land full of different rock formations each with excellent qualities in various fields of construction. Already, we have set up two rock crushers with a capacity to crush 300 tons of ballast per hour. Other products will be M-sand, road and rail construction aggregates, and machine cut building stones. Availability of raw materials on site and the necessary extraction and processing equipment will ensure we can provide the SEZ off takers with various building materials at very competitive prices.

Multi-use recreational park
Spread over 31 acres, the park aims to attract a diverse range of visitors by offering activities like gun range shooting, archery, mountain climbing, motor cross and rally events, destination weddings, concerts, hot water spas and related events
